AAAA Scholarship Foundation, Inc.

Description: The AAAA Scholarship Foundation, Inc., is a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation established to render financial assistance for the college-level education of members of the Army Aviation Association of America, Inc. (AAAA). The spouses, unmarried siblings, children and grandchildren of current and deceased AAAA members are also eligible. 100% of every dollar donated to the Scholarship Foundation goes to a scholarship or endowed principal based on the AAAA paying all overhead expenses for the Scholarship Foundation.

Eligibility Requirements: 

In order to apply for an AAAA Scholarship you must meet one of the following criteria: 

• You must be a current member of the Army Aviation Association of America, or
• the spouse of a current AAAA member or deceased member, or
• the son or daughter of a current member or deceased member, or
• the grandchild of a current member or deceased member, or
• the unmarried sibling of a current member or deceased member.

In all the above instances, the member's effective date must be on or before May 1 of the previous year in which the applicant is seeking aid, unless the member is deceased. This requirement is waived for uniformed members of the Active Army, ARNG and USAR. The applicant must be attending an accredited college or university or selected for fall entry as an undergraduate or graduate. No recipient can hold concurrent AAAA Scholarships.

Army Scholarship Foundation

Description: 

The Army Scholarship Foundation awards one-year financial scholarships (not grants or loans) on an annual basis to qualified and deserving students. The amount of award ranges from $500 to $2000 for undergraduate studies at accredited educational/technical institutions. Scholarship recipients may apply to renew their scholarships annually for a total of four years of higher education. Renewal is not automatic, but depends on academic performance and continued academic eligibility. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic record and participation in school and community activities.

Eligibility Requirements: 

Applicants must:

• Be sons or daughters of regular active duty, active duty Reserve, or active duty National Guard U.S. Army members in good standing, OR
• be spouses of serving enlisted regular active duty, active duty Reserve, or active duty National Guard U.S. Army members in good standing, OR
• be sons or daughters of former U.S. Army members who received an honorable discharge or medical discharge, or who were killed while serving in the U.S. Army.
• Be high school seniors, high school graduates, or registered as undergraduate students at an accredited college or post high school vocational/technical institution.
• Have a 2.0 grade point average on a 4 point system.
• Be a U.S. citizen.
• Not have reached their 24th birthday by the application deadline date in the year they apply if they are a child of an Army member.
• Not have previously earned a bachelor's degree from a college or university.

Army Women's Foundation

Description: The Army Women’s Foundation (AWF) recognizes the importance of education and the role it plays in personal, professional, and economic fulfillment. The Army Women’s Foundation Legacy Scholarship Program provides grants to women soldiers, past and present, and their lineal descendants to help them attain their educational goals. The AWF Legacy Scholarship Program offers financial support in four areas: Certificate Programs, Community College coursework, Undergraduate Degrees, and Graduate Degrees. Scholarships are awarded only for coursework from accredited institutions. Scholarships are based on merit, academic potential, personal essay, community service, letters of recommendation, and financial need.
Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education creates critical thinkers, increases science literacy, and enables the next generation of innovators.  According to the U. S. Department of Commerce, STEM occupations are growing at 17%, while other occupations are growing at 9.8%.  The US Army Women’s Foundation offers STEM grants through our scholarship program to meet this demand. 

Women's Army Corps Veterans Association - Army Women United (WACVA-AWU)

Description: 

The Women's Army Corps Veterans Association Scholarship has been established to recognize relatives of Army Service Women. This scholarship is based upon academic achievement and leadership as expressed through co-curricular activities and community involvement. A $1500.00 scholarship will be given annually. The recipient will be notified by mail or email. The check will be forwarded to the acceptance institution. 

Eligibility Requirements: 

• Is a United States Citizen.
• Is a high school Graduating Senior, showing academic promise, with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. Include a letter from the high school attending, with transcripts.
• Submit a biographical sketch and letter stating goals and how the scholarship will be used.
• Applicants must plan to enroll as a full-time student at an accredited college or university in the United States in pursuit of a degree course of study.
• Applicants must be a child, grandchild, niece or nephew of an Army Service Woman, and must submit documentation of sponsor's military service.
