Student Veterans of America at Iowa State University

The purpose of the ISU SVA is to assist with the transition of Veterans to the collegiate system; to nurture and create and perpetuate an environment of understanding, to lend support to each other with the challenges of life whether it is inter-personally or intra-personally, educationally, logistically, and administratively.

Student Veterans of America, ISU Chapter

Student Veterans of America (SVA) is a National organization leading service, research, programs, and advocacy for veterans in higher education. We are proud to offer this as a recognized student organization for veterans to get involved with. Being involved on campus, whether attending events or being part of a student organization, is a great way to meet other students and increase your professional network.

Our current SVA chapter is small but mighty! Here are a few things they are planning on doing this year:

  • Attending the National Conference at the Coronado Disney Resort in January
  • Collaborate with SHOP food pantry and ROTC programs to host a food drive and ruck in the fall.
  • They are looking to establish committees so that members can become more involved.

If you want to become more involved on campus and get to know your fellow military-affiliated students a little more, then this group is for you. Don't hesitate to get in touch with our SVA President:
